Abstract

The problem of unemployment is increased day after day and becomes more dangerous and worse in Iraq as a result of circumstances experienced by Iraq since the eighties of the last century to the present day.This is reflected on the unemployed in particular. and on security and economic stability in Iraq in general. The supply of labor becomes greater than the demand for labor. leaving big social and economic effects upon the unemployed. Therefore. the phenomenon of unemployment in Iraq has become a problem of economic and social dimensions. and clearly reflects the shortfall in economic structures and flaws in economic policies and economic structure. which led to significant social impact because the unemployment is a serious social menace plaguing the economic body where it is disruption human potential and waste of growth opportunities in addition to the erosion of economic well-being. Therefore. reducing unemployment requires a real growth in the economic construction according to the law of Oken and Toda-Yamamoto test. which explain the nature of the inverse relationship between the two variables.
