Abstract
Research shows the dilemmas suffered by the Iraqi economy and the structural imbalances that have prevented the mastery of economic development in spite of the possibilities enjoyed by the Iraqi economy from oil and agricultural land suitable for agriculture and surface and ground water, etc., however, these problems have hindered the economic development process therefore has to be correct these imbalances by diversifying the Iraqi economy and opening the way for the private sector and facilitate the currency in activities that characterize and lifting the burden of the state and the trend toward activities that are not characterized by the private sector and create a competitive market within the country to activate the work of the private sector and that will be the state 's role corrective and a development to keep pace with the mechanism of market economy and to allow the private sector to operate freely as well as working to create sustainable economic development and this must be sustainable development flying from a set of processes that must be in the context of a long- unattainable not affected the absence of individuals or affected by the failure of approach in the application or subject to mood and thus the continued development like a contract connected with each other through our goals relative to distant targets, and the continued development is development that meet the needs of the present and the saturation of society without prejudice to future needs. Therefore, the future vision of sustainable development in Iraq is based on the modified structure of economic sectors, the research concluded to a number of conclusions and recommendations.
