Quality of information and its impact on strategic decision A field study in a sample of Iraqi banks

Abstract: The study was enganged of a subject which is one of the important subjects in busine and private organizations frame work, as the information to day is a basic of organizational successful work which reflects at decisions of senior management and other departments, as the (information quality) described as (interpreting variable) which based on number of criteria which are (accuracy, utility, effectiveness, forecasting and efficiency) to evaluate information quality. Where as the strategic decisions represented a variable study (dependent), the study aims at detecting the information quality, identifying its reliability and suitability to the decision maker and its impact on strategic decisions taken by banks, which applied on a sample of higher and intermediate administrative in a sample of Iraqi banks represent (40) persons. The study found important conclusions which are the strategic decisions depend on the accuracy of information, its efficiency and its forecasting, in addition to numbers of recommendations such as that the strategic decisions depend on suitable criteria towards banking strategy in getting sin formation suitable with the challenges facing banking industry and its need to predictive dimension, accuracy and utility.

The role of strategic orientation for universities in entrepreneurial alertness: Field research in Karbala University

Abstract: This research concerned with identifying the role of strategic orientation (market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation and technical orientation) on entrepreneurial alertness(scanning, search, association, connection, evaluation and judgment) in fifteen colleges of Karbala University. For this purpose four hypotheses were formulated, the first two concerned with the variance level of research variables according to type of college (scientific or humanistic) while the third and fourth hypotheses examined the relationship and the impact of strategic orientation on entrepreneurial alertness. For testing the validity of these hypotheses questionnaire had been used which prepared depending on testing scales that captures research dimensions. This questionnaire distributed on (101) of top management team of the colleges with response rate 78%. By using many of descriptive statistics, correlation, and F test, the study results indicate that strategic orientation differ via to college type, and there was an impact of strategic orientation on entrepreneurial alertness. The study ends with many recommendations the main were focused attention on needs and wants of customers in our local organizations, it is necessary to management to survey customers satisfaction, and focus attention on environmental scanning.

Abstract: The goal of this study isto investigate the role of the intellectual capital to choose the appropriate change in strategies in public banking sector in Al-Diwaniyah. To this end, the main hypothesis is formulated. It states the significant effect between the intellectual capital and the appropriate changing strategies. The main hypothesis includes three hypotheses concerning the statistical significant effect between the intellectual capital, The rationality strategy, directed a wariness's strategy, and coercive strategy. To check the Validation of these hypotheses, questionnaires including (54) items are used and distributed on (45) members of the management staff of the researched banks with (100%) response. In this study, some descriptive statistical methods are employed aswell as the correlation coefficient, (T) test and (F) test. The validity of the statically significant effect of the intellectual capital in choosing the appropriate changing strategies. The importance of the right investment of the intellectual capital stored in the working members and to support the role of practing the rationality strategy side by side with the coercive strategy in the researched banks.

Abstract: This research aims at stating the impact of strategies of meta-cognitive in developing the scientific concepts and the methods of receiving the material by students and showing the scientific practices that they have. The sample of the research included two departments are Business Administration and accountancy for 4th level at college of Economics & Business administration Al-Qadisiya University. The choice of the research is consistent in relevant-previous studies (e. g, Lee, 1997; Sillman & Dana, 1999; Blank, 2000) The authors based on a questionnaire as basic means for collecting data. The research results showed that variable of meta-cognitive strategy of business administration and accountancy department students Came in satisfactory level. In other side, the results showed that there is significant positive relationship between meta-cognitive strategies and self-effectiveness According to the results, the research reached at number of conclusions. One of the important conclusions is existing harmony in level of self-effectiveness between males and females depending on these conclusions, the authors found number of recommendations. One of them is the necessity of educational environment to be available which supports students for using the meta-cognitive strategies.

Abstract: The insurance industry is deemed as an important part and vital role within the financial activity in the economy components of any country and with the size of its importance and the role that they play in protecting individuals and property, that the financial institutions and scientific foundations privileged position of the industry, and boosted interest in the fact that many of the intellectual centers to contribute in supporting and supplying them with ideas, scientific studies and researches, to develop the insurance ideas , and keep up with scientific and technological development accelerated in all aspects of life . The Research gives concepts and implications for the quality of services to assess the quality insurance service in particular and determine their impact on customer satisfaction and meet their needs through a survey of competent persons in the insurance sector in the National Insurance Company / Branch Diwaniyah, by (85) forms at the researched company and distributed to the research sample represented director general and the heads of departments, branches and customers insured that it has been retrieved (82) which are valid for analysis, The research has found after a process of statistical analysis through data processing program computer statistical spss to the attention of the company mentioned with the quality of service insurance which was the required level and therefore it became necessary to develop standards that can be relied upon to assess the quality of service provided to insurance customers.

Abstract: This research tried to study, efficiency of Iraq stock exchange for monetary policy. Knowledge of impact of monetary policy on the stock market, policy-makers can design appropriate policies to direct investments to selected sectors. In addition, this study serve to shed light on emerging market and to identify the extent of its efficiency, is in addition to the economic literature in this area, and to identify the extent of the applicability of the efficient market hypothesis under rational hypothesis. More specifically, this study attempts to answer a following question: Is belief, that stock markets in developing countries are not efficient comprehensive for each market in its? Or that each developing country conditions is that control the efficiency of markets, including the stock market? Moreover, this study attempts to apply self-vector auto regression model (VAR) to identify the nature and direction of relationship between stock prices and money supply in Iraq. The study examines stationary of statistical properties of the time series to see how of whether or not. something important in a design of economic models to avoid the problem of Spurious regression between variables is static, any regression caused by a general trend in the time series of variables, it is not evidence of an economic relationship between them.

Been the focus ofthis researchto providefivedifferentmethodsto estimate thescaleparameterwhich are maximum likelihood method, moment method and Bayes estimator depending on the original data. The comparison has been done through simulation and repeated the experiments (R=1000), using Integrated Mean Square Error as a base of comparison, after estimating we estimate reliability function, all results putting in tables.

Abstract: This Research aims to determine the effect of Knowledge Management Processes and Organizational Learning in Strategic performance, and in order to achieve that the research adopted the Core knowledge management processes (Knowledge Generation, Knowledge Storage, knowledge Distribution & Knowledge Application) the Organizational Learning was expressed as (Organizational Learning Strategic, Organizational Structure & Organizational Culture) the strategic performance was expressed as (the Financial Perspective, Customer Perspective, Internal Processes Perspective & Learning and Growth perspective).This Research is carried out in the Universities of the Middle Euphrates (Karbala, Babylon, Kufa, and Qadisiyah) the information was obtained for the field through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose and the number of the sample members were (82) of Administrative Leaders (Deans, Dean Assistants, and Heads of departments) The use of coefficient correlation to measure the correlation between variables and T-test, and multiple regression analysis and the selection F-test, as well as using (R2) to explain used the amount of effect the independent variable have on the dependent variable. This Research also found a set of conclusions that can be summarized as that there is effect relations, knowledge Management Processes and Organizational Learning in Strategic Performance in the university study sample, This Research arrived to many recommendations that have to do with the three changes.
