Sustainable development strategy in Iraq in 2030 and the role of renewable energy sources
Assistant Professor Dr. Baqer Karji Al-Jubouri Researcher Yafa AbdulHur Al-Fatlawi Al-Qadisiyah University: College of Administration and Economics nan (Author)
March 2021 ,Pages 43-53

Abstract: The scientist faces a challenge in establishing a balance between sustainable development and preserving the environment. At a time when he continues to rely on traditional energies that occupy a large part of the use of energy, this has major impacts on non-renewable resources of the environment, as well as on the depletion of the environment. Therefore, the world turns to renewable energy sources for sustainable development. Renewable energy has long been described as the last resort to the world's energy and environmental problems. This enables inexpensive and virtually unlimited energy potential without pollution. The initial interest in renewable energy, stimulated by the oil crises of the 1970s and by fears of resource depletion and political insecurity, resulted in developmental and research activity, clear technological advances, and rapid technological advances. However, as the 1980s and 1990s progressed, fears of energy crises of the past faded, while renewable energy technologies remained expensive despite the progress made. It was evident that renewable energy is the energy of the future. Iraq, like the rest of the world, faces environmental and economic challenges. However, Iraq has opportunities to invest in renewable energy. Like solar energy and wind energy. And if used properly, it will eliminate the environmental impacts of conventional energy and make up for the lack of electricity. As well as other social and environmental improvements in order to reach sustainable development. The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals demonstrate the 17 goals and 169 targets , The breadth of this global plan and the extent of its ambition, which are integrated and indivisible goals and objectives that achieve a balance between the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic dimension, the social dimension, and the environmental dimension. Under the available capabilities, the most important conclusion was the consistency of the research hypothesis, as through the analysis it became clear that the production of renewable energy had not achieved any effects on sustainable development in Iraq.

Abstract: This study aims to assess the influence of national cultural values on the financial accountant' conservative (AC) in a sample of listed companies in the Iraq and Amman Stock Exchange. The sample included financial reports of (100) companies listed in Iraq and Jordan for the period from 2015 to 2019. Hofstede's cultural values were adopted as an index of cultural dimensions. Besides, the Book-to-market value method used as a measure of accounting conservatism. The study results indicate that a high degree of masculinity culture, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance is associated with a high degree of non-conservative(AC). On the other hand, indulgence culture is negatively related to (AC) that tends to be non-conservative. This paper indicates the need to conduct introductory seminars for corporate board boards to familiarize them with cultural factors and their impacts on their performance as decision-makers.

March 2021 ,Pages 83-98

Abstract: Due to the increase in the volume of banking activity and the expansion of its spread, the management of banks has paid increasing attention to introducing mechanization in the banking work in order to keep pace with the increasing development in banking services by providing the latest machines and advanced computers. On the basis that the banking sector is the stepping stone for economic activities, the movement of money and investment, and is obligated to keep pace with the rapid and active development of the movement. The current research aims to evaluate modern technology technologies and their impact on the level of performance of Iraqi banks, as the research sample consisted of 19 banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, and the research concluded that despite the electronic banking services provided by the bank, they remain limited and are not up to par.To the required level, as it was compared to what is witnessed in the global banking arena, as well as the existence of a large discrepancy between the performance levels of private banks resulting from the variation in the expertise and efficiency of the departments of these banks and the level of technological techniques used, which is clearly reflected in their success in performing their banking activities. The research recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is not to be satisfied with a limited number of electronic services, as banks in Iraq must provide more electronic services and innovate new electronic services, benefit from the experiences of international banks and competition, and pay attention to employing the Internet more in banking operations, which will facilitate the communication process. Whether in other banks or with customers.

March 2021 ,Pages 119-126

Abstract: In this paper we use the nonparametric methods to estimate the time series models , which is different of the parametric methods, in which the data is given the opportunity to express itself and the principle of letting the data speak for itself and estimating the time series model. The time series were used representing the monthly final prices of a barrel of Iraqi crude oil in US dollars for the period from January 2003 to June 2020 by 210 observations . we use some non-parametric methods such as the Kernel Smoothing method represented by Nadaraya- Watson (NW) and local polynomial. So, we use some different methods to choose the smoothing Parameter, such as the plug -in method, smoothing cross validation method and Least Squared Cross Validation method , and some precision criteria such as (MSE, MAE, MAPE). We have been calculated to compare between the applied method models. We found that the cubic polynomial estimator (CU) is the best nonparametric method to estimate the monthly final prices of a barrel of Iraqi crude oil time series model

Mohammed Habeb Al-Sharoot Noor Chyad Alisawi nan (Author)
March 2021 ,Pages 127-145

Abstract: In this paper, two time series were used and applied in two methods, the first method is the method of the transfer function model and the second method is the method of artificial neural networks. The aim of This study to prepare a theoretical and practical study for predicting bivariate time series using the transfer function model as well as artificial neural network models to predict the annual production of rice crop in Iraq by analyzing a time series that spanned from 1971 to 2019 except for the Kurdistan region. The results were proven using the R program. The best transfer function model to predict the annual production of the rice crop in Iraq is the following model: -1.002B+ 0.078B^3) Zt+(1+0.188B-0.409B^2)/(1-0.498B-0.499B^2 ) a_tAs well as, by notethe MSE to the transformation function model and the MSE of the artificial neural network, the MSE is less when using the artificial neural networks model. Therefore, the best model for predicting the annual production of rice in Iraq is the artificial neural networks. .

March 2021 ,Pages 146-161

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of external quantitative determinants on the growth of bank deposits ,The study was conducted on all deposits of the Iraqi banking sector for the period (2007-2017,( The research deals with the theoretical concepts associated with each of bank deposits and the external quantitative determinants of the growth of bank deposits, represented by (gross domestic product, population, inflation rate, average per capita income). In order to achieve the objectives of the research, its hypotheses were formulated and tested by statistical means. For the purpose of measuring the effect of external quantitative determinants data on the growth of bank deposits in the Iraqi banking sector, the multiple regression method was used to measure the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. For the purpose of measuring the impact of external quantitative determinants data on the growth of bank deposits in the Iraqi banking sector, the multiple regression method was used to measure the impact of independent variables on the adopted variable. The (F) test was also used to find out the statistical significance of the model or not, In addition to using the coefficient of determination (R2), to measure the percentage of what the external quantitative determinants data explain by the changes in the growth of bank deposits., The T-test was used to test the significance of the coefficients of the independent variables represented by the data of the external quantitative determinants. The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are all indicators (growth rate of GDP, population, growth rate of per capita income) had no statistically significant effect on the growth of bank deposits, while the inflation index had a positive effect on the growth of bank deposits, Then the study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the development and strengthening of the banking sector and the introduction of modern banking technology , And devising programs to attract bank deposits, and increasing banking awareness among the public.
